Well, some of Matt's old creepy friends from his old job tried to hit on me on facebook, so I decided to have it over.
Brief update:
After being separated for 5 months, Matt finally decided to give it all up to God. It has been a complete and total miracle and nothing less. He immediately came home and is a totally different man than I married. He has a love for God that is amazing. He is consciously thinking about ways to care and show me he loves me.
So, now that things are awesome, his work just sent him to Mississippi for the next month. I guess it was a blessing that I figured out how to live without him.
The kids are wonderful and we are off to Disneyland Saturday. It should be wonderful.

Hmm, so facebook happened
I haven't been posting much because I signed up for facebook. I found that it was much easier. I promised Matt I would only have girlfriends on it, but it should be good. So, if you don't see anything here, go to facebook.

My Rock Star for Jesus
Well, after getting to meet his Uncle Jo Jo (Jordan), Gabe has been beyond obsessed with guitars. He has been playing this little guitar that my mom gave him when he was one non-stop for over a month. Well, that just wouldn't work for a rock star guitar. We found this awesome electric guitar that you plug your ipoc (as Gabe would say) into and it plays that music with the guitar louder.
Then at Friday night church, Matt's cousin's husband DJ is the worship leader. Well, Gabe told me he wanted to be a rock star like DJ. I told him that DJ was a rock star for Jesus. Now, Gabe tells everyone he is going to be a rock star for Jesus. How happy does that make me? Very happy. We only listen to Christian music at home, so I would love him to sing songs that Praise God. What better thing could there be.
So, very seriously, Gabe is learning this guitar stuff. He is my little stud!

Oops, a whole month...

Well, I was trying really hard to be better on the blogging, but I guess I missed a little.
Matt graduated. I thought that I was going to cry, and I didn't. I guess it still feels a little surreal. We had a great party, but I bought way too much pizza and way too much beer. No one ate very much and I ended up sending 6 pizzas home with different people, but it was fun. I love seeing how proud everyone is of him.
He quit Williams International Friday and starts ATK next week. He is taking 6 days off to play 36 holes of golf a day in Mesquite.
I have been working full time to over time for the last month. I figured I might as well not waste my chance to earn some extra money while I don't have to get babysitters. I still love my job, but I am not very good at managing my time between work and home.
Cara gets married in 2 weeks. She is way excited and they are going to do great. Brody is 25 and Cara is 18, but Brody is a great guy. I posted the picture I borrowed for their wedding shower.
This week, while Matt is gone, we are just getting ready for Tristen's dance revue. She is wonderful at her dance and she is going to rock it. She has rehearsal on Wednesday and then dances on Saturday. Matt will make it home by Saturday for the revue.

A person I respect...

So, yesterday, I had to fill out this getting to know you questionaire for work. One of the questions were...Who do you respect? I realized that at this point in my life, I respect Matt, my handsome, sexy, smart husband the very most.
I may just be swelling with pride right now, but I am proud. I don't think that many people have ever counted Matt as a smart person, I know that I didn't when I first knew him, but he has now graduated with a 3.8 GPA average in Engineering. The things that he does I could never figure out.
He is continually working harder and harder to make our house a dream home. He is currently putting the last touches on the bathroom. He does everything wonderfully and doesn't cut any corners. He makes everything that he does in our house beautiful, even if he hasn't done anything like it before.
He is an incredible dad and husband. Our kids can't get enough of him. I can't wait until he is finally home at night. He makes me feel like I am the most gorgeous woman alive, and has done that since the day we met.
I tell Matt something all the time, and I really mean it right now. I love the man that he was, he is, and the man that God has planned for him to be.

My new oven

I don't cook very much, but hey, I'm getting a new oven and am excited about it. We went down to Boyle's last week and they had some last year bosch ovens they were clearancing out. So, I got a $1500 oven for $600 and am super stoked about it.
I am looking up some casseroles and oven cooked items so that I can use my oven efficiently. It is going to look prettier than the brown one that I have now and that is the best part.
By the way, Boyle's is always the best and cheapest place to get appliances from what I've found. They are awesome. I am also getting a new washer and dryer since they had some awesome closeout deals on those too.
